How to stop your shoes slipping off your pretty little feet!
by LO
Faux pas? Yes, even those with pretty little feet have shoe faux pas!
I know this sounds hard to hear, but its true, there are faux pas one can have when it comes to shoes, even when one has tiny feet. And I’m here to help you avoid two (of course!) Someone sent me an email the other day with what could be a genius invention, and maybe it’ll grow on me, but at the moment, I’ve never seen anything so hidious!
They are called heel straps and you put them on mules, or any other type of shoes that don’t secure your heels. Some how (I haven’t got a clue how) you secure them under your shoes and then they do up as any normal strappy sandal would. Such a genius Idea. The only thing is… they are made from the same plastic as the clear plastic bra straps are made from, hmmmm….. personally, I’m not sold.
Luckily, here at pretty small shoes we don’t have any small or petite shoes on their website that don’t secure you feet properly. And luckily, for our health and safety (along with last weeks ‘how to walk in high heels’ masterclass) we can rest in peace that 1. we will never fall over because of ill-fitting shoes and 2. we will never need to use heel straps. Phew.
And look at these as a prime example of gorgeous petite shoes with straps: Bad Lou Lou and Aurora
OK, the second potential faux pas that we will now never befall those want to wear their gorgeous cinderella shoes – toe overhang!
Now, I bet most of you are thinking, what-on-earth is that? Well, its when one’s toes clearly do not fit in ones open toed shoes. Now, to avoid this unslightly event remember that when you order your little shoes that you should order them in a half size bigger. Because of the open toe your feet will move forward because of the pressure you are putting them under. With a little more length to the front the toe overhang won’t happen. Yay! And also, because one tends to wear one’s open toed shoes when out on or on holiday you’ll have a little extra room when your feet swell from the heat! You can use our small shoes size guide to find the right size for you
And these are the most perfectly beautiful open toe you can get in sizes 31 to 33: Inca (for the Christmas Parties) and Vixen the perfect small size high heel.
Keep looking gorgeous ladies – Ciao for now!
