How does one walk in their pretty petite high heels?

Ladies, as we are already aware I have issues with staying on my feet so its entirely up to you whether you take any notice of the following advice… Yet, in my defence, I did walk the entire South Bank in my tiny size one Whispers last week so I must have improved. 

So therefore, here is my masterclass, for little feet, to learn how to walk in high heels: 

Practice, practice, practice.

Now, in the famous book titled ‘How to walk in High Heels’ Ms Camilla Morton cleverly advises one to practice at the supermarket. Here, you have the trolley to hold on to for stabilisation purposes – which is great, until your in the queue and you’ve realised you didn’t pick up any coriander from veggie section and you’ve got to try and run and get it so you don’t hold everybody up! 

Location, Location, Location.

So, first up I suggest practicing at work. This is because you have varying textures of floor and… stairs! Its key to get the stairs problem sorted asap coz when your out and you’ve had a drink they could possibly be your worst enemies. 

Tiny shoe steps

I would also suggest starting your practice with petite high heeled boots. I would suggest with a pair of High-Ka’s or Ziggy’s. The High-Ka’s because they are lace-ups and you can make them tight round your ankle to give you support – if you’re going to fall in heels it’s because your ankle is not strong enough. The small size High-Ka’s will support you and allow your ankle to strengthen itself. The small size petite boots called Ziggy will help you because they have a platform – and the platform will take away some of the height, therefore making them easier to walk in (as well as giving you support around the ankle). 

4. Time for lift off

Once you’ve trained your ankles and given them strength, and you’ve praticed the sideways stair decent, its time to move on to the real deal… I’m loving for the upcoming Christmas party season petite suede shoe Hot-Couture! Festive small shoes don’t come more red-hot than these! But if you don’t want to peak too soon, the petite size designer heel Pico might be for you – the block heel will keep you a bit steadier!
